Any business with a bank loan on the property

What it typically covers

  • Fire, lightning and domestic explosion, the base cover
  • Extensions: riot, strike & malicious damage, storm & tempest, flood
  • Burst pipes, impact damage, aircraft damage, earthquake extensions
  • Stock, renovation, machinery and contents, not just the building
  • Business interruption / consequential loss, gross profit and standing charges while you rebuild
  • Removal of debris and professionals' fees extensions

Sum insured must reflect full reinstatement value, we help you set it right so 'average' never punishes your claim.

Common questions

My bank already requires fire insurance. Isn't that enough?
Bank-arranged cover typically protects the building for the loan, not your stock, renovation, machinery or lost income. That gap is where businesses fail after a fire.
What is business interruption cover?
It pays your gross profit and continuing costs (salaries, rent) while your premises are being reinstated, often the difference between reopening and closing for good.
Is flood included?
Not automatically, it's an extension. In flood-prone areas we'll price it in; the premium is usually small against the exposure.
